About Us

Conservation Plainfield was founded in 2001 as a cooperative venture of various government agencies and residents in the Plainfield community. Representatives meet on a monthly basis to discuss conservation issues, determine ways to increase the public's environmental awareness, and to offer educational opportunities for school-enrolled students and the community at large. Conservation Plainfield is a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Illinois. Conservation Plainfield's mission is executed through various programs, events, classes and projects.

These venues are determined and planned by the Board of Directors, and ratified by the General Membership annually.
